“Peace must prevail” - A Call for Peace and an invite to prayer
The EMC stands with the World Methodist Council, alongside the Lutheran World Federation (LWF), the World Communion of Reformed Churches (WCRC) and the Conference of European Churches (CEC), in their condemnation of the advance of the Russian military into Ukraine. We join with them in calling for peace and invite Methodist, Wesleyan and Uniting Churches to participate in an online prayer service on Ash Wednesday (2 March, 17.00 CET) to listen to voices from Ukraine and to pray for the people of Ukraine and the region.
